Media Traffic Specialist Fully Remote - US

Media Traffic Specialist

Full Time • Fully Remote - US
McGarrah Jessee is looking for a Media Traffic Specialist who doesn't just move assets from point A to point B, but makes sure campaigns come to life flawlessly across channels, for brands people are irrationally fanatic about.

About the Role

McJ's media department runs as three buying units. Reach buys national and local TV, radio and sponsorships. Signal plans OOH, digital video, digital audio, social and creators, and buys social, creator and direct publisher deals. Response activates everything bought in a DSP, Google Ads or a commerce platform (search, programmatic and commerce media) and runs the ad operations that make all of it measurable.
The Media Traffic Specialist sits in Ad Operations within Response and reports to the Media Director (Response), working alongside our existing Media Traffic Specialist. Ad Operations traffics every digital campaign McJ runs, whatever unit bought it: Signal's social, digital video, digital audio and OOH, and Response's search, programmatic and commerce media. The buyers build and QA their own campaigns in the platforms; Ad Operations owns ad-server setup, creative trafficking, tags, pixels, conversion tracking and verification. It also supports Reach on broadcast trafficking as we move from a third-party model to direct-to-station execution.
You own the trafficking lifecycle across digital and support it across broadcast, making sure assets, tags, instructions and data move seamlessly between the Business Leads, the creative team, the buying units, platforms and vendor partners.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end trafficking for digital campaigns across search, display, online video, CTV, digital audio, digital OOH, paid social and commerce media, from asset intake through ad-server setup, tags, tracking and live monitoring.
  • Work with the Business Leads and the creative team to receive and route client-approved creative assets, and confirm creative meets platform specs and is versioned correctly by audience, format, placement and market.
  • Build and manage campaign setup in ad servers such as CM360, including placements, creative rotation, and tag generation and implementation.
  • Take buy details from the Signal and Response buyers and set up the matching ad-server placements, creative and tracking, so what the buyers build in DSPs, Google Ads, social and commerce platforms is trafficked correctly.
  • Own QA for tagging, tracking, pixels, UTMs and naming conventions before anything goes live, partnering with analytics to make sure measurement is in place from day one.
  • Set up and manage third-party verification and brand safety tools, and monitor live delivery, flagging discrepancies and reconciling ad-server, platform and vendor reporting.
  • Support Reach on broadcast trafficking: route client-approved creative for linear TV and radio, confirming it matches buy details including dayparts and flighting.
  • Help manage the flow of broadcast buy data, ISCI codes and reconciliation data within Mediaocean Prisma, assist with ISCI generation and assignment, and deliver assets to stations through Comcast AdFusion.
  • Support broadcast discrepancy resolution and post-air reconciliation so our clients get exactly what they paid for.
  • Coordinate across the buying units, creative, production, analytics, account and vendor teams to ensure campaigns are operationally ready for launch, and identify gaps, bottlenecks or unclear ownership before they affect go-live.
  • Serve as a power user across trafficking systems (ad servers, DSPs, Google Ads, social and commerce platforms, Mediaocean Prisma and Comcast AdFusion), and maintain and evolve the Trafficking Playbook of standard operating procedures and process maps as we scale in-house capabilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in media trafficking, ad operations, campaign operations or media execution, with a strong digital focus.
  • Hands-on experience with ad servers (CM360 or similar), DSPs and social platform ad managers.
  • Strong working knowledge of tagging, pixels, UTMs, verification tools and naming taxonomies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Mediaocean Prisma.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, markets and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and clear cross-team communication.

Pluses

  • Experience in broadcast trafficking environments, including Comcast AdFusion.
  • Familiarity with Nielsen market data and its application within media buying and trafficking.
  • Experience with commerce media platforms and their creative and tracking requirements.
  • Retail, energy, DTC, eCommerce, or multi-location marketing experience.

Important Qualifications

  • Motivated, proactive self-starter with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience working autonomously and proactively pulling in teammates when support is needed.
  • A successful track record of managing multiple campaigns across a variety of clients.
  • Strong analytical and math skills.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills.
This is a remote position.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

You are being given the opportunity to provide the following information in order to help us comply with federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action record keeping, reporting, and other legal requirements.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
