Job Title:  Client Finance & Operations Manager                

McJ is looking for a Business partner responsible for client finance matters including monthly revenue recognition, revenue forecasts, utilization tracking & reporting, MSA and SOW review, billing, profitability analysis, monthly reporting, and accounts receivable.

Responsible for leading the Client Finance team and serves as the day-to-day liaison between Finance, Brand and Media t to ensure information and reporting flows smoothly. The role will report into the Head of Finance and Operations and have a close working relationship with the Controller.
This role can be based in Austin, TX - Hybrid - Remote

Responsibilities:
  • Client Reporting. Create and distribute monthly client P&L reports and financial analysis including client profitability, billings, A/R, WIP reconciliations. Provide financial information to various departments and clients as required. 
  • Partners with Accounting, Production and client teams to ensure reporting accuracy with insights on variance analysis
  • Perform reconciliations and analyses of key accounts and coordinate activities with other finance team members
  • Manage client set-up, rate cards, and other client parameters in Workamajig
  • Client Profitability
  • Lead financial support and guidance to Brand and monitor client budgets on a project basis 
  • Prepare monthly client profitability reports and suggestions for improvement
  • Works with Brand to analyze issues and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with managing internal McJ projects
  • Utilization tracking & reporting of client facing teams
  • Client Forecasts
  • Prepare forecasts, creation and cataloguing of job estimates, budgets, SOW’s, and includes client staffing plans from Brand, including calculating fees for client staffing plans
  • Contract Management
  • Ensures Agency is in compliance with current contractual guidelines
  • Secure client P.O. or necessary work/payment authorizations and ensure adherence to contract billing policies and workflow procedures, as well as monitor accounts receivable status and follow-up on aged balances with client
  • Work closely with Brand to ensure consistent process 
  • Provide complete journal entries, time entry transfers, and invoicing instructions.  Reconcile labor hours on client projects
  • Partners with client teams on consistent process implementation, across all aspects of client related finance matters with emphasis on scope development and staff plans.
  • Participate in Ad Hoc projects as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • This role requires a big-picture mindset with strong organizational skills and an aptitude for managing a dynamic function and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.  Great attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.  Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral with professional demeanor.
  • Can-do approach and exudes an energy that is required for a dynamic work environment.  Advanced time management skills to maintain deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Google Docs, Adobe, Word. Preference for experience with Workamajig (accounting software)
  • Treats all colleagues with a high level of respect and dignity and is ultimately capable of developing important relationships at all levels of the agency structure.
