McJ is looking for a strategic, charismatic and accomplished brand director to help lead a significant agency account. Hint, hint: It helps if you’re a fan of a beloved restaurant with orange and white stripes that serves up hot and fresh food 24/7.
Seeking someone who brings a track record of managing multifaceted, cross-channel campaigns, large-scale production experience, and has an eye for the details.
Succeeding in this role requires sharp strategic and business savvy, a willingness to “push” the quality of our product, excellent creative taste and a naturally collaborative way of working.

- Independently lead and make decisions that properly balance the needs of the account with those of clients, internal goals and teams
- Bring a strategic and business-minded perspective to any discussion and deliverable
- Manage and motivate a cross-functional team across a variety of projects (including brand creative, product campaigns, activations, digital and social marketing, sponsorships, and design)
- Build meaningful, long-term relationships with key clients
- Manage account P&L from negotiating statements of work to increasing ROI for the agency
Required Skills/Abilities:
- A confident team leader and brand builder who brings solutions to solve business problems
- Ability to nurture and protect an environment for business-building and breakthrough creative
- Capacity to view every touch point, client request and uncovered idea as an opportunity
- Adeptness in developing persuasive points of view and presentations with appropriate tact and skillful communication
- Ability to instill client confidence during challenging situations and handle conflict resolution — both internally and externally
- Driven and able to “uplevel” the agency product, whether that’s creative, strategy, a written POV, competitive analysis, etc.
- Relentless curiosity and aversion to settling for “good enough”
- Humble enough to do the grunt work, when necessary; a true team player who leads with positivity
- Skilled in all aspects of production, including video, audio, and photo
- Ability to speak confidently, build and guide persuasive presentations and meetings
- An empathetic and direct manager and mentor
- This is an Austin, TX-based role
Flexible work from home options available.
