McGarrah Jessee seeks an assistant media planner with 1+ years of relevant experience/education.

We are looking for someone to assist with the production and implementation of media plans for a full-service client, help the team track all budgets and collaborate with agency teams, clients and vendor partners every day to produce customized marketing solutions. This individual will work closely with the media planners, media supervisors and media director, as well as numerous other cross-functional team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Help create and maintain comprehensive media engagement plans based on multilevel client initiatives
  • Assist in planning digital, TV/cable, radio, OOH, events and more as needed
  • Assist in development and delivery of compelling client presentations
  • Provide and analyze industry and consumer research, including but not limited to target audience segmentations, effective media mix, category competitive analysis, etc.
  • Help integrate all facets of the media landscape, including paid, owned and earned
  • Foster and manage collaborative relationships to maximize performance
  • Keep internal/external teams up to date on media trends, providing formal POVs as necessary
  • Customize media procedures to achieve the most efficient and effective outcomes
  • Track campaign ROI
  • Update and manage flowcharts on a consistent basis
  • Manage/track client approvals
  • Help invoice, bill and reconcile media budgets
  • Serve as a stellar brand/agency ambassador both internally and externally
  • Issue RFPs, negotiate buys, create IOs and posting/traffic instructions, manage POP and create client reports
  • Help facilitate digital trafficking
  • Create and maintain records of insertion orders, schedules, contracts, etc. and work to meet vendor deadlines
  • Take clear ownership of assigned tasks

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of relevant experience/education
  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, even under pressure, and deliver a high-quality work product
  • Attention to detail
  • Combination of problem solving, creativity and strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and media math proficiency
  • Multimedia experience, some digital experience preferred
  • Proficiency in all the necessary tools to get the job done (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, media resources/software, DCM, etc.)
  • QSR/restaurant experience a plus
