McGarrah Jessee seeks a digital media planner who is a creative thinker and is passionate about the evolving digital media and technology landscape. This person should be enthusiastic about collaboration with different McGarrah Jessee disciplines to develop digital solutions and be able to sell in recommendations with compelling logic and enthusiasm. This is a hands-on position developing the strategy, planning and execution of all digital media efforts. Broad experience across digital tactics is a must, and knowledge of traditional media channels may also be needed.
Responsibilities:
- Support digital strategist by facilitating tasks for key clients managing media planning, billing, reporting, trafficking, analytics and research
- Assist in RFP development and review process
- Manage all aspects of the media plan execution to ensure seamless execution, including issuing insertion orders, trafficking and tracking implementation, custom unit production and rich media QA
- Assist in formulating, writing and presenting campaign/media recommendations
- Investigate creative, innovative approaches to strategically reach the target consumer and provide regular POV/media recommendations to client
- Maintain strong relationships within the media community and negotiate the most competitive rates possible
- Utilize third-party research tools to develop target consumer profiles and identify strategic buying opportunities
- Analyze competitive activity in the marketplace and translate learnings into actionable insights
- Work with analytics team to monitor, analyze and report on campaign results and make regular recommendations on how to optimize campaign performance
- Assist with monthly billing process; reconcile billing discrepancies and process invoices for payment
- Remain abreast of the overall media marketplace, and what opportunities are relevant to clients
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience working in a fast-paced agency environment in a digital media planning capacity
- Ability to communicate the overall media strategy/approach clearly and articulately to the publishers
- Ability to multitask, work successfully with teams and work under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications, Advertising, Statistics or related field
- Advanced Excel skills, formulas, VLOOKUP, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.
- Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and follow-through skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and effectively communicate various media research data
- Demonstrate professional, proper techniques and etiquette when dealing with individuals internally and externally through all means of communication at all times
